      Travis comes to Cedar Rapids CC from Ipswich Country Club in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Travis had been at Ipswich CC since 2011, serving as the General Manager since 2013. Prior to his promotion to the role of General Manager, Travis had a lengthy career on the Head Golf Professional track. He has also worked as PGA Head Professional with Bayonet at Puppy Creek in Pinehurst, NC as well as First Assistant to the Director of Golf at the Country Club of North Carolina. He held prior positions at Essex County Club, Salem Country Club and Desert Island Country Club among others. Travis earned his degree as a communication major from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
       
      Travis' 21 plus years of resort, public and private club history has provided him the breadth and depth of experience we were seeking. His passion for club management extends from member satisfaction and engagement to strong fiscal oversight. He has been recognized for his talent in managing a careful balance of those critical areas as well as building and leading high performance teams.
       
      As many of you know, Travis is a Cedar Rapids native who grew up at Cedar Rapids CC. There was only one job that could have lured Travis back to Cedar Rapids and he has shared that he is very excited to have landed his “dream job" in the private club management business. Travis sees so much promise and opportunity ahead for Cedar Rapids CC, and he is ready to tackle the full plate of tasks that await him.

      Since starting at the Club in 2012, Suzie has taken on IT coordination in addition to her Controller duties. As Controller, she is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable\member billing and financial reporting. She loves the variety of challenges that come her way working here. Before working at the Club, she was employed by McLeod/PAETEC and Aegon. Suzie received her accounting and management degrees from Luther College. Suzie’s husband is a mechanic at Junge and she has 2 teenage daughters. Outside of work she is very active at her children’s schools and is Secretary of the Board for Central Lutheran School. She also enjoys gardening and crafting.

      Kelly is responsible for the Club's communication plan and overseeing the Membership department, which includes the Front Desk Receptionist team who manage the phone and reservations system. She is the editor of the Club website and the monthly newsletter, and manages the member email distribution system. One of her favorite tasks is taking photographs of members at Club events.

      Kelly grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and has degrees in Interior Design and Art History. Since moving to Cedar Rapids in 2003, she taught Art History at Coe College and had her own wedding planning business, before joining CRCC in 2012 as a Receptionist. When she’s not at the Club, she loves spending time with her husband and 8 year old son, gardening, reading, and learning more about photography.

      Anna works with all departments to improve the member and guest experience and overall satisfaction through the development of high quality services. Anna works alongside Kelly Klipp, Membership & Communications Manager, in the Membership department. She has a key role in growing our membership base by promoting our choice services, facilities and benefits to prospective members, while also enhancing community awareness and local support around the Club.

      Anna is from the Twin Cities and a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Public Relations and Public Health. She has experience in marketing and community relations drawn from her positions at the American Diabetes Association, Wells Fargo, and The Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Valley.

      Dustin joined the Cedar Rapids CC as head Golf Professional in January 2015. Previously, he was an integral part of the team at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida under the mentorship of Bob Ford. Seminole is considered one of Donald Ross’ masterpieces in course design and regularly rated as one of the best courses in the country. With experience at some of the nation’s most prestigious golf clubs, including the premier family country club of Wee Burn in Darien, Connecticut, the Floridian in Palm City, Florida and Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown, Massachusetts, as well held the role of Tournament Director at Lost Tree Club in North Palm Beach, Florida.

      Dustin has also spent a tremendous amount of time honing his teaching skills throughout his career. At Seminole, he focused on short-game techniques that would help his members navigate the challenging Donald Ross green complexes. Dustin self-describes his style as ever-evolving along with the improvements and changes in the golf landscape. At the end of the day, his goal is simple: to make the game fun for everyone, from the wee juniors, to the one-handicappers, to the average-golfer.

      Tom has been providing tennis instruction in the Cedar Rapids area for the past 30 years. He holds the highest Tennis Professional certifications through the United States Professional Tennis Association (P1 Rating -1st time tested) and the United States Professional Tennis Registry (Pro Rating – 1st time tested). In addition, he holds a Certified High Performance Coach distinction from the United States Tennis Association and was one of the first 100 US coaches selected for this program. Tom was a member of the University of Iowa tennis team while earning a bachelors degree in Communications Studies there. In addition to his position at CRCC, Tom serves as Head Tennis Professional at Coe College during the winter months. Tom resides in Cedar Rapids with his wife, Shelly, and two sons, Reid (24) and Riley (21).

      Tanner joined CRCC as the First Assistant Golf Professional in the fall of 2015. A graduate from Campbell University’s Golf Management Program, Tanner is excited to take the lead role of First Assistant in 2016. Prior to CRCC, Tanner has worked at Northfield GC (Northfield,
      MN) followed by two years at the prestigious Sebonack GC. While at Sebonack Golf Club, the club hosted the 2013 United States Women’s Open. Tanner will be managing the shop along with the Professional Staff in 2016. Tanner is an avid hockey player and Green Bay Packers fan.

      Luke returns in 2016 as our teaching professional with
      many new tricks up his sleeve. Luke has had the privilege
      to learn from some of the best instructors in the world
      including: Sean Foley, Mike Bennett, Andy Plummer,
      David Orr, and James Leitz. In Luke’s second season, he
      will lead the way with an extensive year round teaching
      academy and will guide our new junior program. Luke is
      set to tie the knot this summer with his best friend, Kendra, who will join the Cedar Rapids community after
      their July wedding!

      Tom Feller has been the Golf Course Superintendent at Cedar Rapids Country Club since January of 2002. Prior to that he was the Superintendent at Quincy Country Club in Quincy, Illinois for ten years. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association, the Iowa Superintendent Association and the Mississippi Valley Association. He became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent in 2002. He was named Superintendent of the Year by the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association in 2013. His education includes an A.A. in Agriculture degree with a major in Golf Course Management from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Conway, S.C. and a B.A. Degree from Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri. Tom has been married for 24 years to his wife, Sarah. They have two children, Tommy and Isabella. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and attending his children’s activities.

      Cynthia began working at the Club in 2010 as a Sous Chef, and was promoted to Executive Chef in 2016. Her goal is to provide members with diverse menu options that exceed their dining expectations. Cynthia spent time developing her skills in various positions at clubs in Georgia and North Carolina, her home state. She graduated from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Culinary Technology and has been an active member of the American Culinary Federation since 2010.

      Melissa has been involved in the hospitality and events business for as long as she can remember. Growing up with her father as a pastor and her mother hosting, cooking and baking for weddings, holiday parties, and celebrations, she has been around special events since a small child. She truly found her niche as a freshman at the University of Iowa , when she was hired as a Catering Server for IMU Food Services. Throughout her four years of college, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, she worked her way up from Catering Server to Catering Supervisor.

      After graduation, she moved to Macomb, IL, where she served as Catering Manager at Western Illinois University for three years. She then accepted a position at AVI Foodsystems, based out of Warren, OH. With AVI, she served interim positions at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, Baruch College in New York, NY and Hiram College in Hiram, OH. During that time, she was also the acting Spanish Translation team lead for the Human Resources department during AVI’s acquisition of Food Service operations at Sarah Lawrence College in Westchester County, NY.

      Wanting to return to Iowa, she transitioned to the hotel side of hospitality for a year as a Front Desk Supervisor at the Sheraton and hotelVetro in downtown Iowa City. When a Catering Sales position opened at the University of Iowa, she saw a chance she could not give up - which was to get back into food and beverage at the place where she fell in love with Banquets and Catering. During this time, she worked closely with the University of Iowa Foundation, the President’s Office, the Center for Conferences, and numerous University of Iowa Athletic Teams. Within a year, she was promoted to Catering Operations Manager, where she oversaw all operational aspects of catering for the University, Kinnick Stadium, Carver Hawkeye Arena, and many private homes. After three years with the University, she returned to the Sheraton and hotelVetro when she accepted their offer to serve as their Food & Beverage Manager. During this time, she oversaw all aspects of banquets, the restaurant, concierge lounge and in-room dining.

      Melissa leads the Food & Beverage Department, overseeing all banquet and a la carte dining and events. One of her favorite things to do is help members with their private event planning needs, no matter the size. Call her to help plan a beautiful wedding, shower, family reunion, anniversary, retirement party, or a fun themed children’s birthday party. She’ll help you with the event design, menu planning, wine pairing, and finding the perfect florist, DJ, and other vendors to make your event a special one.

      Paul joined CRCC as Beverage Manager in March 2014. Previously, he worked at Elmcrest Country Club and Hillcrest Country Club, with over 15 years of private club experience where he managed different departments. He grew up in the small town of Farley, Iowa and currently lives in Lisbon with his two children, Peyton and Lainey. When he’s not at the Club, he enjoys being active outdoors kayaking, skiing, golfing, and fishing. As Member Dining Manager, he is responsible for the front-of-the-house operations of our dining venues.

      Kara Honn joined the Cedar Rapids Country Club in 2015 to support human resources needs such as recruitment, new-hire onboarding, and training design and development. Before coming to CRCC, Kara worked at the Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa, where she managed all new hiring activities, supported customized employee development efforts and led special projects to support a variety of human resources programs. Prior to that, she worked at CRST as the HR Manager, where she designed and facilitated training programs and implemented a HR Service Center to meet the ongoing needs of the staff. Kara holds a B.S. in Human Resources Management from Upper Iowa University located in Fayette, IA. She grew up in the small town of Alburnett just outside of Cedar Rapids. She has always been familiar with the prestigious reputation of the Cedar Rapids Country Club and is thrilled to call herself a part of the team!

      Jeremy Hagerman joined the Cedar Rapids Country Club in April of 2014 as Chief Engineer. Before coming to the Cedar Rapids Country Club, Jeremy worked at CRST as the facilities manager for over 9 years where he managed all aspects of the facilities maintenance. He has a B.S from Northwest Missouri State. He grew up in the small town of Central City, IA and currently lives in Cedar Rapids with his wife and two children. He loves the pace and challenges that come with his job and enjoys being a part of the CRCC team!
