  • Suzie Kochuyt | Controller

      Since starting at the Club in 2012, Suzie has taken on IT coordination and a variety of HR responsibilities in addition to her Controller duties. As Controller, she is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable\member billing and financial reporting. She loves the variety of challenges that come her way working here. Before working at the Club, she was employed by McLeod/PAETEC and Aegon. Suzie received her accounting and management degrees from Luther College. Suzie’s husband is a mechanic at Junge and she has 2 teenage daughters. Outside of work she is very active at her children’s schools and is Treasurer for the Benton Athletic Booster Club. She also enjoys gardening and crafting.

      Melissa is responsible for the Club's communication plan and overseeing the Membership department in processing and marketing for new members, promoting Club events, growing our membership base by promoting our choice services, facilities and benefits to prospective members and most importantly coordinating with all department heads for smooth execution of events hosted at the Club and meeting membership needs and requests.

      Anna works with all departments to improve the member and guest experience and overall satisfaction through the development of high quality services. Anna works alongside Melissa Dykstra, Member Relations Director, in the Membership department. She has a key role in marketing events hosted at the Club, while also enhancing community awareness and local support around the Club. She also oversees the front receptionists and makes sure that member needs are met via communication. Contact Anna for all of your membership needs. 

      Anna is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Public Relations, Public Health, and Elementary Education. She has experience in marketing and community relations drawn from her positions at the American Diabetes Association, Wells Fargo, and The Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Valley.

      Tom has been providing tennis instruction in the Cedar Rapids area for the past 30 years. He holds the highest Tennis Professional certifications through the United States Professional Tennis Association (P1 Rating -1st time tested) and the United States Professional Tennis Registry (Pro Rating – 1st time tested). In addition, he holds a Certified High Performance Coach distinction from the United States Tennis Association and was one of the first 100 US coaches selected for this program. Tom was a member of the University of Iowa tennis team while earning a bachelors degree in Communications Studies there. In addition to his position at CRCC, Tom serves as Head Tennis Professional at Coe College during the winter months. Tom resides in Cedar Rapids with his wife, Shelly, and two sons, Reid (24) and Riley (21).

      Brandon joined CRCC as the First Assistant Golf Professional in the spring of 2018. Originally from Bismarck, ND, Brandon has most recently spent time outside of Chicago in Aurora, IL where he and his wife, Chelsie, have chased around their pup, Gilly.  Brandon and Chelsie got married in the fall of 2017 and welcomed their baby boy, Levi, in late November 2018.            
      Brandon worked at Aurora CC for two seasons as the First Assistant and Membership Director. During his time at Aurora, Brandon managed the golf operation, taught golfers of all ages and helped the club add over 100 families over two seasons. Previously, Brandon honed his skills as an assistant at Calusa Pines Golf Club and Fresh Meadow Country Club gaining valuable experience at two exclusive, private clubs.

      Kari was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was introduced to golf by her father.  She graduated from Prairie High School in 1993 and went on to  attend Charleston Southern University on a girls golf scholarship. During her four years at Charleston Southern, Kari won 5 Division I college tournaments, had  25 top 10 finishes, was 1993 Big South Freshman Of The Year, 4-time Charleston Southern MVP and 3-time All Big South First Team Selection. Kari graduated with a BS in Business Administration and started her career as a PGA Golf Professional at Cougar Point on Kiawah Island. After working at Kiawah for five years, Kari decided to get into the private sector and accepted a position as the First Assistant at the Daniel Island Club. Kari has been fortunate  to work at some great private facilities across the United States, to include, Winchester CC and Tedesco CC in the Boston area, Rolling Green CC in Chicago,  Ozaukee CC in Milwaukee and most recently,  as the Co-Head Professional/Director of Instruction at Butte des Morts Country Club in Appleton, Wisconsin. Kari has 20 years of experience as a golf professional and has been a Class A Member of the PGA  for 13 years.  Her favorite part about being a golf professional is the relationships she builds with the members and her students. Kari has a strong passion for teaching, tournament operations, merchandising and getting more juniors and women playing golf.  Kari was the recipient of the 2019 Wisconsin PGA Section Youth Player Development Award and is also TPI Certified.    Kari is very excited to be able to return to her hometown, where much of her family still lives and join the professional staff at Cedar Rapids Country Club. Kari has two children, a son Tanner who is 12 and a daughter, Kylie who is 9 and two Goldendoodles, Bubba and Rickie. 
  • Thomas Feller, CGCS | Golf Course Superintendent & Interim General Manager

      Tom Feller has been the Golf Course Superintendent at Cedar Rapids Country Club since January of 2002. Prior to that he was the Superintendent at Quincy Country Club in Quincy, Illinois for ten years. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association, the Iowa Superintendent Association and the Mississippi Valley Association. He became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent in 2002. He was named Superintendent of the Year by the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association in 2013. His education includes an A.A. in Agriculture degree with a major in Golf Course Management from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Conway, S.C. and a B.A. Degree from Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri. Tom has been married for 24 years to his wife, Sarah. They have two children, Tommy and Isabella. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and attending his children’s activities.

      Chase was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. He received his Culinary Arts degree at Kirkwood Community College, and was named most outstanding student of his graduating class. In addition to his six years at CRCC, he has also worked at Big Grove Brewery in Solon, and Cherry Creek Country Club in Denver, Colorado. Chase has a passion for showcasing the wonderful ingredients of the Midwest, and enjoys cultivating relationships with local farmers and growers. Aside from cooking, he enjoys spending time outside, kayaking and camping, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes each Fall.

      Katie, a previous dining Manager on Duty will enter the role of Banquet Sales Manager.  Her responsibilities will include reaching out to our Members and encouraging them to use our venues for their business and social events.  She is the point of contact to organize events.

      He joins CRCC with 5 years experience in food and beverage.  He began as a Banquet Set Up team member at the Sheraton and hotelVetro in Iowa City and was promoted to Lead Set Up, then Captain followed by Assistant Banquet Manager.  He excels in customer service, audio visual, adhering to standards of set up and service.   We are excited to have his hard work ethic of teamwork, leadership and training on the team!

      Jeremy Hagerman joined the Cedar Rapids Country Club in April of 2014 as Chief Engineer. Before coming to the Cedar Rapids Country Club, Jeremy worked at CRST as the facilities manager for over 9 years where he managed all aspects of the facilities maintenance. He has a B.S from Northwest Missouri State. He grew up in the small town of Central City, IA and currently lives in Cedar Rapids with his wife and two children. He loves the pace and challenges that come with his job and enjoys being a part of the CRCC team!

      Luke joins the staff this year at Cedar Rapids Country Club as Director of Instruction and Academy Director of the new Cedar Rapids Junior Golf Academy powered by iGrow Golf. Recently elected to the PGA of America, Luke is a graduate of Campbell University’s PGA Golf management program where he served as Student Association President. Throughout his young career he has had the privilege of learning under some of the brightest minds in golf instruction including Sean Foley, David Orr, James Leitz, Mike Bennett, and Andy Plummer. Luke’s teaching philosophy caters to golfers of all ages and skill level while utilizing modern golf technology. Prior to joining Cedar Rapids Country Club, Luke completed internships at Carmel Country Club (Charlotte, NC), Vineyard Golf Club (Edgartown, MA), and US Golf Camps (Saltsburg, PA). Soon to be married, Luke looks forward to becoming an active member of the community alongside his wife Kendra.
