Schedule of Events
Cedar Rapids Country Club
Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Originally designed by the legendary golf course architect, Donald Ross, in 1915, the golf course at Cedar Rapids Country Club remains the only Ross-designed course in the state of Iowa. After a vigorous research period in 2011, the Club hired the industry-renowned "Ross Restorer" Ron Prichard to lead the re-invigoration and restoration project, which was completed in the Spring of 2016.
A starting field of 132 players will compete in the 2019 USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship at Cedar Rapids Country Club. Approximately one month before the start of the championship, sectional qualifying, played over 18 holes, will be conducted at 20+ sites nationwide.
The championship is open to female amateur golfers who have reached their 50th birthday by the first day of the championship (August 24, 2019) and have a Handicap Index® not exceeding 18.4. The record for entries, 554, was set in 2014.
The low 64 scorers following stroke play will qualify for match play. If necessary, a playoff will be conducted to determine the final spots in the draw.
